Job Description

Job purpose:

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you'll be responsible for provisioning and maintaining cloud-based production systems. You will work closely with a team of architects to ensure that the technical requirements are met for all projects. You'll also be involved in project management activities such as ensuring deadlines are met and end user expectations are maintained. Your role may involve working with third party vendors on technology solutions or providing support during customer implementations of new software products or applications.

Minimum Requirements

• Security Designer - minimum 6 years' experience in security including cloud security
• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production systems
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
• Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems
• Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
• Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance
• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions
• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements
• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform
• Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes
• Plans, researches, and designs security architecture for IT systems
• Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related eld required
• Experience with AWS cloud services required
• AWS certifications required
• Experience with creating and maintaining high availability systems in a multi-cloud environment preferred
