Our client is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Developer who designs, develops, and implements technology solutions that address complex business challenges and support organizational goals. This role translates business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions while leveraging cloud, AI, and software engineering best practices. Developer contributes to technology strategy, evaluates emerging technologies, provides technical guidance to stakeholders, and may serve in a technical lead capacity on key initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop applications, programs, services, APIs, and user interfaces based on technical design specifications.
• Design and build cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Build scalable distributed systems using serverless, microservices, and container-based architectures.
• Collaborate with team members to develop solutions that integrate seamlessly into the overall enterprise ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices to create reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud solutions.
• Design serverless, microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Assess new tools, platforms, and frameworks for enterprise adoption.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
• Drive the adoption of modern cloud and AI capabilities across the organization.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational processes.
• Promote DevOps and DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop unit test plans and test cases.
• Develop integration and system test plans and test cases.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of AWS cloud services, architecture patterns, and cloud-native application development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies in Java, Python, C#
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application design.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and event-driven applications.
• Knowledge of serverless, microservices, containerized, and distributed system architectures.
• Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, system administration tools, and end-user computing technologies.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and utilities used in cloud computing, application deployment, automation, and systems administration.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• AWS cloud architecture and cloud-native application development.
• Software engineering methodologies, design patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
• DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline development, and deployment automation.
• Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
• Distributed systems, microservices, serverless computing, and container-based environments.
• Technical leadership and solution design.
• Cloud and AI innovation strategy.
• Systems integration and enterprise application development.
• Database technologies and modern development frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56.38 - $73.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
