The Role
Our Strategy team is seeking an experienced Awards Strategist to develop insight-driven, integrated awards-season campaigns for leading entertainment brands, studios, and streaming platforms. With a deep understanding of the entertainment awards landscape, including the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and guild awards, you will help shape compelling For Your Consideration (FYC) strategies that elevate content, talent, and storytelling.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, industry expertise, and creative instincts to navigate competitive awards seasons. You'll work closely with creative, social, media, and account teams to develop cohesive campaigns that build awareness, strengthen positioning, and connect with relevant audiences throughout the awards cycle.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Awards Strategy & Campaign Planning
- Develop comprehensive awards-season and FYC strategies that align with client objectives, key award categories, voting periods, and campaign milestones.
- Monitor the entertainment awards landscape, competitive campaigns, industry conversations, and emerging trends to identify strategic opportunities.
- Establish clear campaign positioning, messaging frameworks, and audience strategies that differentiate titles and talent in competitive awards categories.
Integrated Creative & Media Strategy
- Build integrated campaign strategies across digital, paid media, social, video, print, and experiential touchpoints to support awards consideration.
- Partner with creative teams to develop compelling campaign narratives, messaging, and content that highlight the strengths of individual films, series, performances, and creative achievements.
- Translate research, competitive intelligence, and audience insights into actionable creative briefs and strategic recommendations.
Client Collaboration & Campaign Execution
- Collaborate with account, creative, production, and media teams to ensure campaign strategies are effectively translated into execution.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations, awards-season calendars, campaign frameworks, and competitive analyses to internal teams and clients.
- Track campaign performance, monitor industry developments, and recommend adjustments throughout the awards season while ensuring alignment with applicable campaigning guidelines.
Here’s What It Takes
- 5+ years of experience in entertainment marketing, awards strategy, FYC campaigns, or integrated campaign strategy, preferably within an agency, studio, or streaming platform.
- Strong working knowledge of major entertainment awards, including the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and relevant guild awards.
- Demonstrated experience developing or contributing to awards-season campaigns, including positioning, campaign planning, messaging, and integrated marketing execution.
- Deep understanding of entertainment industry trends, awards-season dynamics, voting audiences, and competitive positioning.
- Ability to translate complex strategic insights into clear, compelling campaign recommendations and creative briefs.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and evolving campaign priorities.
