About the Position
The Award Administrator is responsible for providing institutional-level support to sponsored programs administration services including creating and maintaining relationships with extramural sponsors, presenting information to all stakeholders on behalf of the Department of Programs (DoP), directing negotiations and other efforts to timely resolution, and administrative problem-solving.
The Award Administrator will serve in an embedded role supporting operations at Fort Bragg and will be expected to work onsite at least two (2) days per week. This position will serve as a liaison with the Department of Clinical Investigations (Research), Defense Health Agency, and Womack Army Medical Center, while also supporting activities from Geneva’s corporate office in Fayetteville.
Salary Range
$70,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the core job description, the Award Administrator will provide specialized pre-award and proposal development support services. Additional responsibilities may include:
Distributing funding opportunities externally to investigators, collaborators, and research teams
Interpreting funding opportunity announcements (FOAs), requests for applications (RFAs), program announcements, and sponsor guidance to ensure proposal compliance and completeness
Assisting with development of proposal budgets and budget justifications based on investigator-provided budgetary requirements and project needs
Conducting administrative and lay reviews of proposal components for:
Spelling and grammar
Formatting consistency
Readability and narrative flow
Adherence to sponsor instructions and FOA requirements
Managing proposal communications and tracking proposal component submissions, deadlines, and administrative requirements
Developing and maintaining proposal templates, checklists, routing tools, and other proposal support resources
Formatting biosketches and supporting documents in accordance with sponsor-specific formatting and compliance requirements
Drafting tailored templates, including letters of support
Preparing, completing, and coordinating sponsor-required administrative forms and application packages, including SF-424 form sets and associated attachments
The Award Administrator is expected to exercise sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail while supporting complex proposal development activities in a deadline-driven environment.
