Job Description

Originate first mortgage loans, promote the Bank and lending services to the real estate community and help identify and serve the community’s financial needs through home loan counseling, real estate agent seminars and sales meetings, and by participating in and promoting the Bank’s community activities.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit first mortgage loans. Inform prospective loan clients of the institutions underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.
  • Assist loan applicant in completing application and necessary disclosures.
  • Complete loan application and pre-processing functions in a timely manner – prepares for review initial disclosure including LE.
  • Enter data from new loan applications and other documents into computer system.
  • Order credit reports and other items as needed.
  • Develop Mortgage Loan Officers (“MLOs”) and provide them sales and operational support.
  • Provide follow-up on a consistent basis with borrowers and agents to complete processing.
  • Communicate complex approvals or denials to the borrower-agents including real estate agents / builders.
  • Respond to inquiries from borrowers regarding status of loans in process.
  • Complete necessary information such as log entries and business sourcing.
  • Distribute Bank approved marketing materials and general information.
  • Actively participates in local business development activities as directed by the Bank.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mortgage or related sales experience required.
  • Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, policies, compliance and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Perform routine and typical tasks of an office such as typing, taking notes, reading/reviewing, computer work, filing, copying, answering phones, etc. that may require employee to view, stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch and lift. This role involves frequent travel to client sites, corporate offices, and industry/ community events.

The successful candidate will be required to prove on the first day of work that they are legally authorized to work in the U.S. The Bank will not sponsor a candidate for a visa or for work authorization.

$65,000 annually plus commissions
