The AVP, Corporate Functions Technology is accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex business and technology transformation programs. The role provides strategic technology leadership, ensuring delivery outcomes align with enterprise objectives while balancing scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and organizational change.

The AVP serves as the senior technology leader responsible for program execution across multiple workstreams, partnering closely with executive business stakeholders, architecture, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, operations, and vendor organizations. The role drives end-to-end delivery of transformational capabilities while ensuring operational stability and long-term business value.

What you will do: 

  • Translate business strategy into executable technology roadmaps and delivery plans

  • Lead technology execution for multi-year transformation program with significant organizational impact

  • Provide thought leadership on technology modernization, digital transformation, cloud adoption, data, and platform strategies

  • Influence executive stakeholders and build alignment across business and technology leadership teams

  • Ensure program decisions support enterprise architecture and strategic objectives

  • Accountable for delivery of technology outcomes across multiple interconnected projects and workstreams

  • Establish and govern technology program plans, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and delivery metrics

  • Drive execution excellence

  • Ensure effective management of scope, budget, resources timelines, risks, and issues

  • Lead program recovery and mitigation activities when required

  • Function as the primary technology partner for executive sponsors and business leaders for the program

  • Prepare and delivery executive-level communications, steering committee materials, and board-ready updates

  • Build strong relationships across business, technology, and external partners

  • Facilitate decision-making and resolution of complex cross-functional challenges

  • Oversee solution delivery across applications, integration, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and operational readiness

  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, performance, security, and compliance

  • Facilitate architecture and design governance throughout program lifecycle working with technology partners

  • Champion modernization and automation opportunities that improve business outcomes

  • Manage large technology budgets, forecasts, and financial performance

  • Ensure transparent reporting of investment, benefits realization, and cost optimization opportunities

  • Lead strategic vendor relationship and hold partners accountable for contractual commitments and delivery outcomes

  • Negotiate scope, commercial arrangements, and delivery expectations with external providers

  • Identify, assess, and manager technology delivery, operational, regulatory and technology risks

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations

  • Escalate critical issues proactively and drive timely resolution

  • Lead team of technology leaders, architects, and delivery professionals

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

  • Build organizational capabilities required for future transformation initiatives

What you will bring: 

  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience

  • 7+ years leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs

  • Proven experience delivering programs exceeding $50-100M in budget and involving multiple business units and technology domains

  • Experience leading complex digital, cloud, data, core systems modernization, ERP, or platform transformation initiatives

  • Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders and steering committees

  • Experience leading global teams and third-party delivery partners

  • Ability to flex between and be comfortable with influencing, advising, and collaboration 

  • Ability to provide insight into the relationship between technology and business strategy 

  • Ability to use knowledge of industry, business, and systems to solve business problems 

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills 

  • Promotes innovation with customer centric outward thinking 

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility of approach 

  • Drives results and changes processes to improve performance; creates a culture of accountability 

  • Has a bias to action 

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent 

  • Project delivery experience
