As AVP, Strategic Analytics Services, you will play a crucial leadership role in developing the team’s analytics capability in our growing Middle Market segment. As a senior member of the Strategic Analytics team, you will work on high-profile advanced analytics projects that drive the company’s decision-making and strategies. You will engage directly with business leaders across functions to identify opportunities to improve results. You will lead a team of data engineers and data scientists to build best-in-class analytics solutions marked by creativity and strong business acumen. As a senior member of the Strategic Analytics team, you will shape how Arch thinks about data and analytics.
Job Responsibilities:
Build strong partnerships and engage with senior business leaders to design best-in-class analytics solutions to support their strategic objectives
Collaborate in cross-functional teams and share ideas to solve complex business problems.
Lead initiatives that automate manual or inefficient business processes, increasing underwriter and partner productivity using GenAI and prompt engineering
Build strong partnerships with peers across the organization to support project goals and boarder team needs.
Guide the development of powerful insights and tools using a variety of analytical techniques and technologies.
Work with stakeholders to implement sophisticated analytics models in existing workflows and systems.
Work collaboratively with business partners to develop business rules, to facilitate model-based actions.
Monitor model adoption and effectiveness of business rules; facilitate revision to business rules as necessary.
Lead discussions with executive management team about Strategic Analytics projects.
Support, mentor and develop the growing Strategic Analytics team on holistic, business aspects of projects.

Demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams involving modeling, IT and underwriting or claims professionals to design implementation plans for advanced analytics tools.
Desired Skills/Experience:
P&C insurance experience, including knowledge and understanding of property and casualty products, pricing, underwriting guidelines and concepts, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
Extensive experience coaching and developing leaders
Minimum of 7 years of direct management experience
Education:
A degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or similar quantitative fields; or significant experience managing or directing advanced data analytics projects.
Minimum of 7 years of experience leading a data science/research team

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$200,000 - $230,000/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
