This role will support The President & Chief Operating Officer, Nationwide Financial.
Are you energized by connecting enterprise strategy to meaningful execution? As the AVP, Staff Administration, you will serve as a strategic partner to Office of the CEO (OCEO) leaders, helping translate priorities into coordinated plans, informed decisions, and measurable progress. You will bring together leaders and subject matter experts, shape operating rhythms, guide complex initiatives, and provide the analysis and structure needed to advance enterprise and staff-unit objectives at Nationwide.
This role is a highly visible opportunity to influence across the organization, improve how work gets done, and help OCEO leaders focus on the priorities that matter most.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to an OCEO leader. May have the opportunity to manage a team of business or administrative professionals and/or lead cross-functional teams, depending on the assignment.
Education: Undergraduate studies in business or a related field preferred.
Experience: Ten or more years of experience in business management, strategy, operations, financial analysis, project or program management, communications, and leadership. At least five years of management or leadership experience. Experience supporting senior executives, coordinating enterprise or cross-business initiatives, and working across business and staff operations preferred. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
Knowledge of insurance or financial services operations, financial management, budgeting, resource planning, and program management, with the ability to turn strategy into practical plans, align stakeholders, improve operations, exercise sound judgment, communicate with executives, analyze information, and maintain momentum across initiatives.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
