We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Senior Governance Analyst

Purpose of the role

Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA), Global Finance is a global team and Centre of Excellence in Finance responsible for shaping the future of financial analytics and engineering, driving innovation, and delivering unparalleled insights that empower strategic decision making within Global Finance. The Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) team supports Global Finance by developing sophisticated, high-quality models, analytics capabilities, and innovative analytics, providing seamless development through deployment pipelines, and implementing best practices in Model Governance and ongoing monitoring. The team is also driving the business architecture and helping IT with the technical architecture. With an impressive, varied book of work across Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) we are on the lookout for a Financial Engineer, with the primary objective of supporting this initiative. The role holder will act as a critical team member to support various model governance and model management initiatives in Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) and wider Finance and will help to manage overall model risk in ADA and Finance. This role within Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) will focus on the implementation of SS1/23 in Finance supporting SS1/23 Finance Lead. This will involve supporting plans to remediate any gaps, and to implement new policy and controls.

In this role, you will:

  • Overall support of Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) Model Risk, Model Governance and Analytics Strategy team. Will be required to represent Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA) in governance forums with senior stakeholders within Finance, Risk and the business.
  • Project management support on Model Risk Governance initiatives in Global Finance. Analysis and reporting of model risk data for Global Finance and provide regular updates to SS1/23 Lead on the progress, risks, and issues.
  • Communication is key with the role holder being required to simplify a complex set of undertakings and be the primary communication route to the below stakeholders
  • Supporting project plan for the implementation of SS1/23 within the Finance function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Working with cross-functional teams with Finance (Treasury, Business Finance, Product Control, Financial Control, Control Office, etc) to support SS1/23 implementation.
  • Providing support to ensure proper documentation of processes, controls, and procedures related to SS1/23 implementation.
  • Support in controlling the monitoring, tracking and resolving of issues, risks and dependencies on analysis, requirements gathering and training and testing project tasks
  • Streamline processes to improve productivity and reduce complexity. Support in explaining documentation and processes to Internal Audit where required

To be successful you will:

  • Degree in analytical discipline, e.g. science, business, economics, finance / accounting etc.
  • Knowledge or experience in model governance, model management or policy development; or alternatively experience in model development, monitoring or validation would be an advantage
  • Proven collaboration skills and ability to work across boundaries in a productive manner
  • Comfortable working across a variety of technical environments
  • Good communication skills, particularly around presenting information and complex topics simply
  • Good written documentation skills, communicating with and managing a large and diverse stakeholder population
  • Evidence of ability to constructively challenge stakeholders, performing analysis and communicating outcomes
  • Knowledge of GMIS and / or Helios would be an advantage but is not essential
