Purpose of the role:
Conduct compliance review and monitoring for ensuring that the Bank conducts its business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
What you will be doing:
Conduct compliance review and monitoring (including branch visit, thematic review of regulated activities etc.) across the Bank based on the approved annual compliance review plan
Identify and advise relevant units on compliance issues and potential impact
Provide and follow up the implementation of recommendations on compliance issues and findings identified
Assist in planning, developing and designing the compliance monitoring programs
Assist in handling compliance-related self-assessments by regulatory authorities (e.g. HKMA and HKDBP etc.)
Assist in reporting issues identified in compliance monitoring, external examination / self-assessment to the management
Handle ad-hoc tasks in relation to compliance monitoring
What we are looking for:
A degree in a relevant field, preferably major in Laws, Finance or Accounting
At least 5 years of experience in compliance testing, audit and related fields with hands-on experience in compliance
Sound knowledge in banking products and well versed with the contemporary regulatory requirements e.g. Code of Banking Practice, Securities & Futures Ordinance, HKMA, SFC and IA circulars and guidelines etc
Self-motivated, good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
ECF in Core level, Role 1 & 2 of Compliance is an advantage
