Job Description

About DBS Group Technology: DBS Group Technology is at the forefront of innovation, driving the bank’s digital transformation and empowering customers to “Live more, Bank less”. As technology continues to reshape how we work, serve customers, and build resilient platforms, effective people change management and communications are critical to helping employees understand, adopt, and sustain new ways of working.

About the Role: We are looking for an AVP who can bridge the gap between complex data analytics and organisational transformation. By combining hands-on data capabilities with human-centric change frameworks, this role ensures that data-driven insights translate into lasting, measurable business value.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end change initiatives, using data, insights, and storytelling to drive adoption, influence decision-making, and deliver measurable outcomes. He/she will be a trusted stakeholder partner, able to engage diverse audiences and drive enterprise-wide change across tools, platforms, behaviours, and business processes. Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Storytelling & Narrative Design: Translate highly technical data, complex analytical outputs, and ambiguous employee sentiments into clear, compelling, and actionable narratives for executive stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Data Analysis, Visualisation & Measurement: Clean, validate, structure, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Build intuitive dashboards and presentations that tell a cohesive story, establish success measures, and track adoption, behaviour change, and business outcomes over time.
  • End-to-End Change Project Leadership: Develop and manage integrated change plans, milestones, dependencies and risks by applying structured methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR where appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and change readiness reviews to identify potential resistance, cultural barriers, capability gaps, and alignment risks across departments.
  • Communication Planning: Champion data-driven communication campaigns that articulate the “why” behind data-driven transformations and ensure alignment from frontline employees to executives.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Lead and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across communications, change management, technology, HR, operations, and business units to deliver integrated transformation outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile/ Requirements:

  • Experience: 8 to 10+ years of experience in business analytics, data storytelling, strategic communications, management consulting, organisational change, or corporate transformation, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior stakeholder-facing capacity.
  • Industry Background: Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or similarly complex, regulated environments is highly valued.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Statistics, Data Analytics, Organisational Behaviour, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Data Literacy: Strong foundational understanding of data structures, business intelligence tools, analytics methods, and data science concepts.
  • Tools: Hands-on or working experience with data visualisation and analytics tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Change Management & Project Management: Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end change strategies, manage integrated plans, mobilise stakeholders, mitigate resistance, and sustain adoption. Strong knowledge of human-centric change frameworks and methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR is highly valued.
  • Influence Without Authority: Exceptional communication, active listening, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence decisions and shift behaviours across matrixed organisations.
  • Executive Communication: Excellent presentation and advisory skills, with the ability to simplify complex analytical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences, including management and senior leaders.
  • Analytical Judgement: Strong problem-solving ability, high attention to detail, and sound judgement to interpret complex datasets, validate insights, identify patterns and anomalies, and connect data to business and people outcomes.
  • Innovation Mindset: Curiosity and working knowledge of emerging trends in data analytics, visualisation, GenAI, Agentic AI, automation, and modern productivity tools, with an interest in applying them to optimise processes and improve decision quality.
  • Operating Style: Highly organised, self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while maintaining quality, clarity, and stakeholder confidence.
