We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP Marketing Services

Role Purpose

The role holder will manage content for Social Platform channels. This opportunity focuses on business goals achievement by ensuring all levers are utilised to deliver quality content and growth in HSBC’s target market. This includes but is not limited to leading the operations and initiatives implementation of the channels, optimizing channels performance, ensuring content aligns with both business strategy and regulations in place, creating relevant content to drive business KPIs.

Role Context

MNL has gone through significant growth as well as challenging times in the IWPB business over the past years. HSBC is now the only international retail bank in the Philippines. Local players are investing heavily in more sophisticated technology and competition across the board has increased. In recent years, HSBC has successfully grown and diversified its IWPB product and proposition offerings. However, continued growth will require innovative marketing efforts while taking advantage of a continually improving economic environment.

The Philippines is a highly competitive market with savvy financial customers. As digital penetration and engagement increase in the market, it is critical for IWPB to communicate with its customers effectively, and likewise deliver great customer experience through digital channels.

Working under the guidance of their line manager, the jobholder assumes supporting function in executing marketing initiatives in accordance with the marketing strategies for respective products / segments set out in annual planning to achieve business targets. Relevant banking experience and exposure to marketing / advertising field is preferred. To ensure smooth execution, strong communication, influencing and relationship management skills are a plus for this position. The jobholder is expected to work relatively independently with good problem solving skills while interfacing with other parties; and is expected to be multi-tasking and able to work within stringent deadlines.

Principal Accountabilities

Impact on the Business

  • Overall design and campaign management in the digital and social space
  • Lead the formulation, development, management and execution of strategies for Social Platform channels.
  • Achievement of KPIs
  • Budget management
  • Reinforce our position as the leading international universal bank through content produced in our public platforms
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the HSBC Social Media Platforms with the goal of optimizing growth working with internal and external stakeholders to create and update relevant content oversight on all social accounts activity social listening governance tasks
  • Community management tasks aligned with Social Account Operating Agreement
  • Provide channel performance metrics and analysis as well as market trends monitoring and assessment to contribute to effective business management and decision making
  • Utilize data to identify areas for improvement in channel performance
  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best practice
  • Support for content creation using Adobe Creative Cloud as needed
  • Public Website (PWS) oversight and consultation of content and TOV

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, whether local, regional or global, to drive and navigate strategies to achieve business goals, while complying with internal processes and guidelines
  • Encourage and enable constructive cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the application of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise
  • Comply with the Marketing Process, Marketing Guidelines and Marketing FIM

Qualifications

  • At least three years working experience in Channel / Platform Management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and practice agile ways of working
  • Strong leadership, project management and partner management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
  • Strong communication, analytical and multi-tasking skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and with passion in innovation to deliver incremental value to the business
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset
  • Knowledge and familiarity with back-end channel requirements is an advantage
  • Experience in using Adobe Analytics, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver), Tealium Tool, Looker Analytics is an advantage
  • Must be at least a Bachelor’s Degree holder
