Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President, Lending Systems Project & Efficiency provides strategic leadership for Lending systems, process optimization, and enterprise level project execution. This role champions a member first philosophy and partners broadly across the organization to enhance lending technology, operational workflows, and product capabilities. The AVP collaborates with process owners to drive system enhancements, assess workflow efficiencies, and deliver solutions that positively impact on our members’ financial wellbeing. This leader models Lake Trust’s values by promoting collaboration, curiosity, and innovation. They ensure Lending system strategies align with organizational Key Success Factors and support Lake Trust’s purpose of inspiring financial wellbeing in the communities we serve.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic roadmap for Lending systems, processes, and efficiency initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Lending growth strategies.
  • Provide strong leadership to a team of project and process improvement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Lending, Technology, and enterprise business units to ensure alignment of system capabilities and operational needs.
  • Champion a member centered approach in all Lending system enhancements, ensuring improved experiences for members and team members.
  • Represent Lending on enterprise committees and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of Lending related projects, including new systems, system upgrades, workflow redesigns, and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate project scope definition, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure high quality, on time deliverables.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Lending, financial services operations, project management, or systems leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including developing high performing teams.
  • Experience implementing major systems, leading process improvement programs, or delivering enterprise level projects.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • PMP or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to inspire high performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of Lending systems, workflows, and financial services operations.
  • Advanced project and product management skills, including both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing with precision and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross functional partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
  • Adaptable and comfortable leading through change in a fast-moving environment.
