Global Investment Services

GIS provides strategic investment services and financial management across GIC’s public and private market asset classes. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department drives the development and execution of business infrastructure plans while shaping scalable, agile, and resilient operating models that enable growth and deliver operational excellence. GIS provides operational expertise spanning market settlements, transaction management and execution, investment data operations, portfolio finance, valuations, accounting, and tax services, as well as portfolio administration.
Investment & Deal Execution Our global team brings together diverse expertise in transaction management, deal finance, investment and trade compliance, regulatory solutions, and process specialists on a unified platform. We partner closely with investment groups across asset classes and regions, alongside Finance, Operations, Legal & Compliance, and Technology, to deliver consistent, scalable, and commercially impactful execution capabilities.
With strong business acumen and disciplined governance, we ensure timely, high-quality outcomes and a robust line of defence for the business. What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of an integrated team that provides investment services across all public and private markets asset classes for GIC.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join our Investment Compliance & Regulatory Solutions (ICRS) team. The ICRS team specializes in researching, managing, and implementing response to all regulatory reporting provisions that affect the firm’s global investments with internal and external advisors. Responsibilities include being the resident expert on regulatory implementation as part of the review of new products and markets across all product lines, particularly as regulations evolved. The team also monitors listed investments across public and private markets to ensure compliance across various restrictions and limits arising from regulations, client guidelines or internal risk frameworks.

What will you do as an AVP, Investment Compliance & Regulatory Solutions?

• Be part of the Investment Compliance & Regulatory Solutions function, covering responsibilities to ensure compliance to regulatory, client and risk frameworks.
• Support the BAU running of operational activities including investment monitoring, regulatory filing and submissions
• Participate actively in internal transformational projects, engaging data and technology teams to understand change impact and perform system testing.
• Be involved in the coding, review, testing and implementation of compliance rules across order management, trade execution and compliance platforms.
• Analyse the impact of new and/or existing regulations on investment activities and proposed implementation to the regulations.
• Proactive and persistent in engaging the wider team and subject matter experts, with good stakeholder management.
• Be able to effectively represent ICRS in applying a regulatory compliance lens to new products, markets, and business assessments, as well as change management activities.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting/Finance, Business, Legal or a similar field.
• At least 4-6 years of experience within Investment Monitoring/Portfolio Compliance or Regulatory Compliance function preferred.
• Possesses strong analytical skills, good working knowledge and confidence with data handling.
• Familiarity with financial products across all asset classes would be advantageous, but minimally with equity products.
• Good understanding of regulations and investment monitoring requirements preferred.
• Strong appreciation of process controls and risk management.
• Possesses strong communication skills and confidence to effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, managing multiple projects/deals concurrently as well as tracking and driving execution.
• Naturally inquisitive, curious, and resourceful, while exhibiting drive towards achieving strategic outcomes for the team.
