We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as AVP, FX Counselor Sr. Analyst (Internal Job Title: FX Counselor Sr. Analyst - C12) based in Hong Kong. In this role, you’re expected to:

The FX Counselor Sr. Analyst is an Intermediate Level role responsible for covering client Foreign Exchange activity in the Private Bank. The overall objective of the candidate is to provide bespoke foreign exchange advisory and execution services to our Private Bank clients. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the complexities of global currency markets to protect and enhance their wealth across borders and will be responsible for developing and maintaining deep client relationships, understanding international unique international financial needs, and delivering tailored FX solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients to become their primary point of contact for all FX-related matters.

• Proactively engage clients to understand their international business, investment, and personal financial objectives, including risk tolerance and liquidity needs.

• Provide expert advice on managing currency exposures related to personal investments and cash flows.

• Design, structure, and implement customized FX hedging and investment strategies using a full range of products, including spot, forwards, swaps, and options.

• Deliver sophisticated market analysis, insights, and commentary on global macroeconomic trends and their impact on currency markets.

• Collaborate closely with Private Bankers, Investment Counselors, and Wealth Planners to provide an integrated and holistic service that aligns with the client's overall wealth management plan.

• Execute FX transactions efficiently, ensuring best-in-class pricing and execution quality for clients.

• Monitor global currency markets in real-time to identify opportunities and risks for clients.

• Support Private Bankers in identifying and acquiring new clients with significant FX needs.

• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand the scope of services offered to existing clients.

• Ensure all activities are conducted in strict adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MSc Finance) or professional certification (CFA) is highly preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an FX sales, trading, or advisory role, with a significant portion focused on serving high-net-worth or institutional clients.

• Proven track record of building a client book and successfully managing client relationships in a private banking or wealth management environment.

• Demonstrable experience in structuring and executing a wide range of FX derivative products.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge of foreign exchange markets, macroeconomic drivers, and derivative products.

• Proficiency with financial market data platforms such as Bloomberg and Reuters.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a sophisticated clientele.

• A strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.

• Proactive, entrepreneurial, and client-centric mindset.

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work as part of a cohesive team
