Role Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manager to support FP&A activities related to expense analysis, planning, and reporting.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong ownership, technical capability, and a hands-on approach to financial analysis. The role will partner closely with business stakeholders and finance teams to support expense management, budgeting, and allocations, while driving process improvements and automation across FP&A.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to leverage data, systems, and emerging tools – including AI – to improve efficiency and insight generation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze expenses across business units, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget, prior periods, and key drivers)
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for expenses, including development of allocation methodologies and cost drivers
• Contribute to the design and implementation of expense planning processes within Oracle or similar systems
• Develop, maintain, and enhance datasets, reports, and dashboards using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI
• Work with large, structured datasets, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reporting and planning outputs
• Identify opportunities to improve expense reporting processes and drive automation of recurring workflows
• Identify and support practical applications of automation and AI to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and efficiency
• Partner with business and functional teams to support understanding of expense drivers and financial results
• Prepare clear, structured analyses and presentations for finance and business stakeholders
• Ensure strong documentation, controls, and reconciliation of expense data and reporting outputs
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Solid understanding of financial concepts and expense management as well as strong familiarity with insurance industry concepts
• Experience in FP&A, expense reporting, or financial analysis within a corporate environment
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Power Query and/or Power BI preferred
• Experience working with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion/FCCS) or similar enterprise tools
• Experience working with large datasets and supporting data-driven reporting processes
• Demonstrated experience improving processes, automating workflows, or enhancing reporting efficiency
• Exposure to data analytics tools or AI-driven solutions in a finance context preferred
• Strong communication skills with ability to effectively partner with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience in expense reporting, cost allocations, or budgeting processes is a strong plus
• Experience in Big 4 or similar environment is a plus
