We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP Taxation (Regulatory Tax Compliance).

In this role, you will:
• Ensure Indirect and Direct Tax regulatory compliance, maintaining HSBC’s reputation through timely and accurate filings
• Establish a robust model/platform to capture the right transaction information for accurate tax compliance and reporting
• Take sound legal/technical tax positions for business transactions and provide correct information to regulators and HSBC management
• Represent HSBC before tax authorities (assessments, enquiries, filings, refunds) and build strong relationships with authorities, consultants and internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 3–10 years of practical experience in the tax field, in a similar profile/area of work
• Strong experience in GST compliance and regulatory filings (returns and replies to authorities)
• Working knowledge of legacy indirect taxes: Service Tax, VAT, Works Contract Act/Tax (including handling assessments/cases)
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax provisions, with specific strength in TDS compliance
• Experience supporting/handling tax audit and transfer pricing compliance/audit/assessment
• Ability to independently collate transaction information and handle end-to-end tax compliance; working knowledge of Oracle
• Strong technical judgement, communication/presentation skills, and confidence in appearing before tax authorities for compliance/assessments/refunds
