As an Event Manager, you will manage and deliver internal and external events, as part of a dynamic regional and global inhouse Events team. You will work primarily on activity in South East Asia for Barclays Investment Bank – based in our offices in Singapore. You will also travel for flagship client events across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. You will work closely with internal clients to assess their needs and develop creative event solutions. Your responsibilities include designing events, presenting options to clients, and ensuring Barclays’ brand values are reflected. You will maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers throughout the event design and delivery stages. You will plan and coordinate the end‑to‑end process of events, overseeing 20+ events per year, and manage onsite agencies and suppliers. Additionally, you will coordinate and analyse post‑event feedback, lead adhoc projects, and regularly update the Event Planning Solution for accurate reporting to measure Return on Investment, spend, and demand.
To be successful as an Event Manager, you should have:
• Native English, and business proficiency in another language preferred.
• Deep experience in Event Management. Professional experience running events, including budget, stakeholder, and logistics management alongside industry knowledge and experience.
• Strong project management skills, experience managing complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to be impactful to stakeholders and influence.
• Confident, proactive, responsive, and enthusiastic. Capable of building strong partnerships and networks.
