L’avocat·e aura la charge de dossiers de couverture et de gestion de litiges d’importance dans les secteurs de la construction, de la responsabilité professionnelle et des risques financiers, que ce soit au Québec, au Canada ou même aux États-Unis, et ce, pour nos clients assureurs principalement situés à Londres. Le ou la candidate pourrait être appelé·e à plaider lui·elle-même certains dossiers de litiges de couverture, si désiré. Ce poste inclut le volet d'aviser des assureurs relativement à la couverture d'assurance en lien avec diverses polices, dont responsabilité générale, responsabilité relative à un projet, responsabilité professionnelle, cyber, responsabilité et rappel des produits, administrateurs et dirigeants, crime et autres.
En raison de la structure pancanadienne et mondiale du cabinet d’avocats Clyde & Co, nos avocat.e.s seront très fréquemment appelé·e·s à collaborer et à interagir avec des clients anglophones résidant tant au Canada qu’à l’étranger. La maîtrise courante de l’anglais est par conséquent requise compte tenu de la nature même des services professionnels livrés à cette clientèle internationale. Plus particulièrement, et sans que cette liste ne soit exhaustive, nos avocats.e. s devront être en mesure de fournir, en langue anglaise, des conseils et des avis juridiques complexes, de rédiger des procédures et des mémoires et de préparer et mener des interrogatoires.

The lawyer will be working on coverage files in addition to managing important litigation cases in the construction, professional liability and financial risk sectors in Quebec, the rest of Canada, or even in the United States, on behalf of our insurer clients, most of whom are part of the London market. The candidate could also be called upon to plead before the courts on certain coverage matters, if desired. The candidate will also be asked to provide coverage advice to insurers across a broad spectrum of policies such as CGL, wrap up, professional indemnity, cyber product liability and recall, D&O, crime and others.
