Your responsibilities

As our Avionics System & Cyber Security Engineer, you will strengthen our system engineering capabilities and drive cybersecurity as a core system function You translate security principles into real product requirements, architectures and engineering processes — ensuring our avionics devices remain secure in an increasingly complex landscape.

  • Translate cybersecurity needs into clear system-and product-level requirements.

  • Design conceptual security architectures for advanced avionics products.

  • Define how security is built to hardware, embedded software, FPGA logic and mechanical systems.

  • Stay on top of international and EU cybersecurity standards and translate them into actionable guidelines.

  • Represent us in cybersecurity working groups and industry forums.

  • Define verification and test strategies that ensures robust security.

  • Lead initiatives to implement cybersecurity processes and methodologies across R&D.

  • Built internal expertise by rolling out best practices, training and guidance.

  • Help shape our long-term cybersecurity roadmap.

  • Work in parallel with safety engineering, embedding security in safety concepts.

  • Contribute to broader system engineering activities considering the full system lifecycle.

  • Report directly to the R&D director.

Requirements

Your profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering (electronics, computer science, mechatronics or similar)

  • You have a strong interest in cyber security for embedded or avionics systems.

  • You can master complex systems architectures including electronics, FPGA firmware and embedded software.

  • You are analytical and conceptual thinker, experienced in requirements definition.

  • You have the willingness to dive into cyber security standards and methodologies.

  • You have strong communication skills in English and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.

  • You have experience in system engineering, safety engineering or avionics development.

  • You have knowledge of FPGA development, embedded software or hardware architectures.

  • You are familiar with regulatory frameworks (e.g. DO-326A, DO-356A, EU cybersecurity requirements).

  • You have experience in setting up processes and / or methodologies within R&D environments.

  • You are flexible and think beyond the boundaries of your own domain.

  • You work in a structured way but can adapt to a rapidly evolving markets.
