We have an exciting opportunity for a Avionics Radiation Hardness Assurance Engineer to join the team.
The Avionics Radiation Hardness Assurance Engineer will:
Develop avionics architecture radiation effects models
for the Human Landing System (HLS) vehicle according to project-specific
syntax, semantics, notation standards, and file format requirements
Analyze and interpret complex avionics design artifacts
including schematics, block diagrams, component specifications, parts
lists, and technical insights from stakeholder meetings to generate
accurate avionics models for HLS subsystems
Support collaborative partnerships with NASA and
Contractor engineering teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to
conduct iterative model reviews, incorporate design feedback, and
continuously refine avionics models throughout the HLS development lifecycle
Maintain technical expertise of the HLS vehicle evolving
avionics systems architecture as pertaining to radiation effects
Be familiar with systems engineering and integration (S&EI)
and/or specialty engineering for NASA spaceflight (or similar
complexity)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Teams, etc.)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Perform other duties as required.
Willingness to work in a technically challenging field
Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited engineering school
Experience with system architecture models and fault management
Demonstrated experience or comprehensive understanding of avionics hardware design, integration, and systems architecture
Strong collaborative and communication skills with proven ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Requisition Preferences:
Experience developing reliability block diagrams and fault tree analyses for avionics systems
Hands-on hardware design and development experience in avionics or aerospace systems
Familiarity with .graphml file formats and network modeling
Working understanding of Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) concepts and processes
Experience or interest in avionics hardware development and/or testing
Familiar with systems engineering and integration (S&EI) and/or specialty engineering for NASA spaceflight (or similar complexity) with systems engineeringand integration (S&EI) and/or specialty engineering for NASA spaceflight (or similar complexity).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers designing and building world-class, NASA spaceflight hardware.
Proficient in MS Office programs, particularly MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
