Job Description

TASK DESCRIPTION: The incumbent will operate and maintain the AN/USM-446 Radar System Test Set (RSTS) or AN/USM-636 CASS, and associated OTPS at the Intermediate Maintenance Activity in support of KAF aircraft.

TASK REQUIREMENT:

  1. Provide maintenance for the AN/USM-446 test station, including periodic maintenance, repair of station building blocks and station calibration.
  1. Operate the AN/USM-446 RSTS or AN/USM-636 CASS and associated OTPS to test, troubleshoot and repair Radar system WRAs and SRAs to the component level.
  1. Test, troubleshoot and repair all OTPS hardware to include interface boxes, power supplies, load banks, junction boxes, and cable assemblies utilizing Test Program Set (TPS) publications and instructions in conjunction with visual station indications.
  1. Utilize digital flow charts, logic diagrams, printed circuit board schematics, wiring diagrams, and test flow charts, to test, troubleshoot and repair Radar system WRAs and SRAs.
  1. Support OJT and cross training of KAF personnel.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of four (4) years electronics experience at the I-Level.
  1. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an AN/USM-446 RSTS or AN/USM-636 CASS, operator/maintainer, including TPS use and maintenance, and is a graduate of the AN/USM-446 RSTS operator/maintainer school.
  1. Able to differentiate between hardware or software discrepancies to include identifying software test areas.
  1. A US Secret security clearance is required.
