
Job Title: OSC Line Maintenance Avionics Lead Mechanic
Department: OSC Line Maintenance
Reports To: OSC Line Maintenance Manager/Line Maintenance Avionics Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Coordinate with the Supervisor for the scheduling and assignment of daily job tasks.
2. Lead and direct subordinate crewmembers in the performance of job tasks. Ensure that productivity and work quality is satisfactory.
3. Ensure that all identified maintenance discrepancies are documented.
4. Perform troubleshooting. Assist in determining the proper course of maintenance action when a discrepancy is found
5. Assist subordinate crewmembers with interpreting maintenance manual or SRM instructions.
6. Ensure that all maintenance performed by subordinate crewmembers is in accordance with approved maintenance data, such as the AMM, SRM, CMMs, WDM, Service Bulletins, EAs, etc. Ensure that all maintenance actions performed by subordinate crewmembers are properly documented.
7. Provide OJT as necessary to subordinate crewmembers.
8. Provide oversight of subordinate crewmembers and assist the Supervisor in identifying the need for training or remedial training.
9. Assist subordinate crewmembers in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
10. Assist the Supervisor in identifying any safety-related deficiencies.
11. Occasional overtime will be required
12. Travel may be required
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required Must be able to work overtime, weekends & days off. FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; 5 years minimum experience in avionics maintenance and repair on commercial category aircraft
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.

Work is performed primarily in a construction, maintenance setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Air freight cargo transportation, worldwide movement of common cargo, oversized/overweight loads, mail and military support. Operates B-767-300F, B-777-200F, as well as B-747-400BCF and B-747-400ERF aircraft. The 121 airline is based in Ypsilanti MI (KYIP).
Also features complete in house Heavy airframe MX as well as Jet engine repair and overhaul services via the 145 Class IV and III certificates located at the Oscoda MI (KOSC) MX base as well as in CVG.
