JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

To provide operationally capable aircraft in support of KFAA pilot training programmes through carrying out aircraft: servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems / components and other related aircraft systems.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
·To provide technical specialty support in the: evaluation, interpretation, determinations of requisite corrective actions, performance and operational status of specialty specific aircraft systems, components, test - support equipment at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC-21 aircraft.
·Be able to achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications. To obtain and maintain certifications in order to support speciality and aircraft maintenance functions.
·Prepare items for calibration within his work area
·Carry out TCTO’s and Special inspections when directed
·Have a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areas
·Ensure compliance with tool control and the KFAA SAFO program
·Support deployments to other bases within and out of KSA when required and be able to prepare equipment to support these deployments
·Monitor all supply issues affecting the Jet engine aircraft Elect/ Avionics Shop
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential:
·Have extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR experience on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
·A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,
·Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment specific training if required.
·Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) Registration.
·Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
·Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
Desirable:
·Broad Aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
·An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures
·A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to his work area
·Working knowledge of QMS, DMS and an understanding of M&CA processes.
