General MRO Aerospace (GMA) is a globally recognized FAA 145 Repair Station that specializes in maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and electromechanical aircraft components. We are looking for an Aviation Repair Coordinator for coordinating and overseeing aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient operations to join our team. This role involves scheduling maintenance tasks, coordinating resources such as parts and personnel, and liaising with vendors, technicians, and clients. The coordinator ensures adherence to FAA, EASA, or other relevant aviation regulations, maintains accurate documentation, and communicates repair progress and issues to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills to support seamless workflow and high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced aviation environment. Essential Duties

• Liaise with external MRO service providers, vendors, and repair facilities to schedule and oversee aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Creation of Repair Orders.
• Negotiate and manage service contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, timelines, and quality standards.
• Monitor the progress of outsourced repair work, ensuring adherence to schedules and client expectations.
• Verify that all outsourced maintenance activities comply with FAA, EASA, or other relevant aviation regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of outsourced maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and compliance documentation, for audits and reporting.
• Provide clients with regular updates on repair progress, costs, and timelines, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Review vendor invoices, track expenses, and ensure repair costs align with budgets and client agreements.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure all repair work meets safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Coordinate the transportation of aircraft parts or equipment to and from external repair facilities as needed.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays with external vendors, escalating to management when necessary.
• Movement and tracking of parts throughout the shop.
• Collaborating with the Production Coordinator and the Material Coordinator on effective statuses for parts.

Requirements

Experience, Skills and Qualification:

Experience:

• Working knowledge of FAA, EASA, or other relevant aviation regulations and standards.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Decision-making: ability to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Skills:

• Proficiency in aviation maintenance software (e.g., SAP Quantum) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.
• The person will need to walk and lift more than 15 lbs.

Qualification:

• High School Diploma Required.
• Associate’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in aviation maintenance coordination.
