Job Description

Our team is partnering with a premier residential integration firm based in a stunning mountain community. For years, they have been the region's go-to experts for high-end technology solutions, specializing in everything from custom home theaters and distributed audio to sophisticated lighting and shade control.

They pride themselves on being the only firm in the valley with a dedicated service department, building their reputation on long-term client relationships rather than just one-off projects. If you are looking to trade the city grind for a "mountain lifestyle" where the ski hill is visible from the front door, this is the place to be.

Why Join Us?

  • Outdoor Paradise: Located in a premier mountain town—perfect for those who love skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and the great outdoors
  • True Team Culture: Join a tight-knit group that doesn't take themselves too seriously. It’s a "mess with each other daily" environment where passion for the work is high, but egos are checked at the door
  • Autonomy and Trust: Enjoy the freedom to manage your own schedule and prioritize your day; as long as the work is done and clients are happy, you have the lead
  • Unique Perks: Benefits include a corporate ski pass, relocation assistance for the right candidate, and multiple team events throughout the year
  • Investment in You: We provide paid on-the-job training and support for industry certifications (CEDIA, etc.) to help you level up your technical chops

We are seeking a Service Manager / Lead Programmer who thrives on the "puzzle" of troubleshooting. This isn't just a desk job; you will be the technical "tip of the spear" in the field, handling complex service calls and high-end programming. You’ll serve as a de-escalation expert for frustrated clients, a mentor for greener technicians, and a proactive teammate who jumps in to help on installs whenever there is downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Master Troubleshooter: Diagnose and resolve complex AV, networking, and automation issues, moving beyond "rebooting the cable box" to find deep-rooted solutions
  • Expert Programming: Take ownership of programming and commissioning systems, primarily using Control4 and Lutron
  • Client Relations: Act as the face of the company during service visits; use your soft skills to listen to client concerns and provide confidence that "you've got this"
  • Field Leadership: Manage your own daily dispatch/schedule and provide informal mentorship to junior technicians on job sites
  • Proactive Support: During service lulls, assist with rack builds, trim-outs, and documentation (D-Tools/Slack) to ensure projects stay on track
  • Resourcefulness: Utilize all available tools—from manufacturer tech support to AI—to solve problems efficiently within a 20-minute diagnostic window

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

  • Deep Technical Experience: 5+ years of experience in residential AV integration and service
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong, "rockstar" level capabilities in Control4 and Lutron
  • Networking Fundamentals: Experience with Araknis, Eero, and Ubiquiti/UniFi systems.
  • The "Service Mindset": A natural problem-solver who enjoys the pressure of service calls and takes pride in a "clean" final result
  • Zero Ego: A "VP and Janitor" mindset—willing to crawl through a crawlspace one hour and talk to a high-net-worth homeowner the next

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Savant and Josh.ai
  • Experience with automated Shades and lighting control
  • Proficiency with D-Tools or similar project management/documentation software
  • A passion for the mountain lifestyle (skiing, hiking, etc.)

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $30.00 – $40.00/hour (depending on experience and programming depth)
  • Relocation: Assistance available for the right out-of-market candidate

Benefits

  • 50% Employer-paid Health Insurance (including Vision)
  • Simple IRA with company match
  • Two weeks of Paid Vacation (PTO) plus paid holidays
  • Corporate Ski Pass
  • Company vehicle provided (assigned after initial onboarding)
  • Paid training and certification opportunities
