Job Description

Role: AV Technician
Location: Los Angeles, California

Hours 40 hours per week

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience plus full benefits

Kinly is a global leader in Audio Visual and Unified Communications technology, partnering with numerous high-profile organizations to enhance collaboration, engagement, and productivity. We design, engineer, and support AV and collaboration technology solutions that deliver real business value and exceptional user experiences.

We now have a new opportunity for someone to join one of most prestigious clint sites as an AV Technician; to provide AV technical support across all of their meeting rooms. We are looking for an individual who has worked as a corporate AV Event Technician; and this is essential to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

EVENTS SUPPORT

  • Running AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, video and presentation facilities

  • Attend pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events.

  • To own the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees.

  • To escalate any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and make suggestions for improvements.

VIDEO/AUDIO CONFERENCING

  • Video/audio conference set-up and support. Best efforts should be made to ensure all suites are connected on time and receiving/transmitting good audio/video.

  • Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify.

  • Supporting virtual events

  • Working knowledge of virtual technologies including but not limited to; WebEx, Zoom and Teams

GENERAL AV MEETING ROOM SUPPORT

  • Presentation/multi-media meeting room support, including duration support.

  • Quick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests.

FAULTS AND ROOM CHECKS

  • Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.

  • Ensure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner.

  • Assist with first line fault repairs.

GLOBAL COORDINATION

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with global AV counterparts.

  • Hold and attend Biweekly meetings with global AV teams to discuss service and operations issues.

Required Skills:

The successful candidate must have experience working in a similar position; within a corporate and commercial environment. They will possess strong communications skills, capable of liaising at all levels and will be highly organised and customer-focused.
