The Role:

The AV and Gaming Equipment Technician will be responsible for live gaming and AV equipment maintenance and other related operations within the organization with an underlying willingness to continuously develop and implement current procedures whilst remaining flexible to the growing and changing demands of the organization. Approximately half of the working time will consist of executing risk tasks across remote studios whilst the rest will be focusing on development, improvement, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

    • To work with shift managers ensuring game integrity and risk of gaming equipment including shuffling machines and table equipment.
    • Installation, maintenance, repair of tables and their equipment
    • Installation of electronic equipment, assembling and dismantling works
    • Strong record keeping and data analysis
    • Manage communications and external services provided in terms of gaming equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to provide status updates, report issues, and seek guidance.
    • Minimizing loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision.
    • Ensure that all studio equipment and setups comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Manage and monitor equipment inventory levels of deployed and stored equipment.

    Roulette wheel maintenance including but not limited to:

    • Ensure regular maintenance of the roulette wheels including wheel swap, levelling, sensor calibrations etc.
    • Ensure connection between the roulette wheel and server room is maintained
    • Trouble shoot errors including nano-puller, ports, configuration settings of the table PC.
    • Resolve or escalate any other technical roulette issues through internal escalation processes
    • Keep all files of actions which have been done with roulette wheels updated

    Shuffle machines:

    • Shuffle machine exchange, maintenance, and cleaning
    • Ensure shuffle machines are calibrated, troubleshooting where necessary
    • Exchanging, possibly removing broken parts of the unit for the new ones
    • Communication with the manufacturer for tech support
    • Shuffle machine test (brand new ones) before installing them on the table
    • Ensure that all activities are logged in the required reports and/or ticketing systems

    Cards and other Equipment:

    • Immediate attention and action during emergency cases such as:
      • On an occasional basis, the following tasks will be required: electrical soldering; joiner’s work, transporting order; loading and unloading; carrying of heavy objects
      • Carry out any ad hoc duties instructed by your direct manager that meets the needs of the business
    • Ensure table felts are maintained and replaced in accordance with regulatory and internal procedures
    • Maintenance of table equipment including shoes, scanners, and discard holders etc.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Constantly use physical movements necessary for general office duties: standing, walking, balancing, eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, handling, wrist motion, sitting, reaching, carrying, vision, hearing, stooping, and twisting
  • Must be able to work under pressure and walk rapidly for long periods of time
  • Constantly plan, follow directions, read, write, use math, discriminate colors, work at various tempos or work rapidly, make decisions, concentrate, remember, attention to and observe details, use of ten key and personal computer
  • Constantly use mental alertness to achieve high level of accuracy in completing tasks
  • Must be able to complete complex arithmetic and mathematics quickly and accurately

Audio Visual:

  • Work closely with the Live Dealer AV specialist groups regarding AV setup, configurations, and replacements equipment.
  • Setup and maintenance of Broadcast Technologies such as video routers, digital signal processors, video encoders, cameras, audio, lighting, and LED Walls.
  • Setup, maintain and monitor the IDF (Server Room).
  • Manage and maintain power system, UPS, and backup power system.
  • Analyzing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems.
  • Improve and maintain redundancy and monitoring solutions.
  • WIMD camera position correction for the Live Dealer tables

Working Conditions:

  • Mostly indoors and generally climate-controlled environment
  • Working with others and independently
  • 40 hours per week
  • Schedule will be weekends and overnights

License Requirements:

  • Rhode Island Operations Gaming License Rhode Island State DBR

Qualifications:

  • Basic Microsoft Server maintenance
  • Good computer hardware knowledge installation and troubleshooting with an understanding of network architectures.
  • Handy with common tools
  • An understanding of electronics and technical principles
  • Video Broadcast and lighting experience is strongly preferable
  • A good foundation of audio processing is
  • A high sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team as well as alone and unsupervised
  • Be driven, flexible and proactive
  • Be a multitasker and have team spirit
  • Ability to plan and forecast effectively
  • Great problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Target Hourly Range: $28.85 - $36.06 /Hour
