Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $33–$45 Flat Rate (B-Level) | $50–$77 Flat Rate (A-Level)
Pay Type: Flat Rate

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Transmission Technician to join a busy independent automotive repair shop in Selma, TX. If you have at least 2 years of professional transmission repair experience and enjoy diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing automatic and manual transmissions, this is an excellent opportunity.

You'll work in a well-equipped shop with consistent workflow, modern technology, ongoing training, and a team that values quality workmanship.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose transmission concerns on domestic vehicles.
• Remove, rebuild, repair, and replace automatic and manual transmissions.
• Perform transmission-related diagnostics, electrical testing, and drivability repairs.
• Complete repairs from diagnosis through final quality inspection.
• Perform related drivetrain and differential repairs as needed.
• Document digital vehicle inspections, repair recommendations, and repair notes using Tekmetric.
• Communicate repair findings with the service team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Deliver quality repairs while maintaining strong productivity.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of professional transmission repair experience
• Strong A-Level Technician or experienced B-Level Technician.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions.
• Ability to complete repairs independently from start to finish.
• Strong computer skills and experience with shop management software.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
