Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40,000 – $52,000 per year (Depending on Experience)
Pay Type: Hourly

Promotive is partnering with a well-established, family-owned NAPA Auto Care Center in Laytonsville, MD that has proudly served the community for more than 26 years. This busy, high-volume shop is seeking a dependable Tire Technician / General Service Technician to join its team as a valued employee prepares for retirement. This position focuses heavily on tire installation, tire repair, commercial tire service, and general shop support. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable performing physically demanding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting, tire balancing, tire repair, and tire rotations on passenger and commercial vehicles
• Service specialty tires, commercial tires, skid steer tires, and tube-type tire applications
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Maintain proper tire pressure and perform TPMS servicing when needed
• Assist with wheel and tire installations while following manufacturer specifications
• Safely lift and move tires weighing up to 100 pounds
• Support general service operations and vehicle maintenance as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of tire technician, general service technician, or automotive service experience preferred
• Experience with tire mounting, balancing, and tire repair
• Familiarity with commercial tires, skid steer tires, or specialty tire applications is highly preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 100 pounds at times
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

• $40,000 - $52,000 annual compensation based on experience
• Medical insurance provided at 100% employee only coverage
• Dependents may be added at employee cost / paid by employee at 100%
• Two weeks of PTO after 30 days
