Automotive Tire / Lube Technician $20-$25/hr

Location: Hayes, Virginia
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience / Skills / State Inspector License)
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Earning Potential: $52,000+ annually

Introduction

We are seeking an Automotive Tire / Lube Technician to join a well-established, family-owned automotive repair shop in Hayes, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes and filter replacement.
• Mount, balance, and repair tires.
• Perform flat tire repairs and other general tire services.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using the Tekmetric DVI system.
• Identify maintenance needs and communicate inspection findings accurately.
• Safely lift and handle tires and wheels weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting an efficient shop workflow.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of professional experience as a Tire Technician, Lube Technician, or General Service Technician.
• Experience performing oil changes, tire mounting, balancing, and tire repair.
• Ability to perform digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric or similar shop management software is preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
• Independent repair shop experience is preferred but dealership experience is welcome.
• ASE certifications are not required.
• This position requires the ability to safely lift and move tires and wheels weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay of $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
• Technicians with a Virginia State Inspector License may qualify for pay near the top of the advertised range.
• VA State Inspector License is NOT a requirement, but a HUGE plus if you already have!
• Weekly pay.
• Annual earning potential of $52,000+
