Automotive Technician B Level - $20-$30/hr. - No Weekends

Location: Loris / Myrtle Beach, SC

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $20-$30 per flagged hour, based on experience

Pay Type: Flat rate

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician for a growing automotive reconditioning center in Loris / Myrtle Beach, SC. This role offers $20-$30 per flagged hour, a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, and a 30-day production guarantee before transitioning to the standard flat-rate pay plan. You'll work on primarily domestic and Asian vehicles in a family-owned operation focused on quality work and long-term team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs on dealership inventory
• Complete tire mounting, balancing, replacement, and related tire services
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on domestic and Asian vehicles
• Perform oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, fluid services, and general maintenance
• Use Autel and Snap-on scan tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Document repairs and inspection results accurately in Shop Boss
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with the service advisor and shop team to prepare vehicles for sale and meet quality standards

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of automotive technician or mechanic experience
• Strong tire mounting and balancing skills
• Experience with brake, suspension, and general automotive maintenance
• Diagnostic experience preferred
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic and scan tools, including Autel and Snap-on
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Flat-rate pay of $20-$30 per flagged hour, based on experience
• 30-day production guarantee, transitioning to flat-rate compensation on day 31
• Approximately 40 flagged hours expected per week; actual production and earnings may vary
