Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Pay Rate: $40-$56 per flagged hour, based on experience

Pay Type: Flat Rate with $600 Weekly Guarantee

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced A-Level or B+ Automotive Technician in Southgate, MI who knows their way around an engine bay, enjoys solving a good diagnostic mystery, and believes the parts cannon should never be the first diagnostic tool.

Here's the deal: $40-$56 per flagged hour, a $600 weekly guarantee, weekly pay, and the potential to earn over $150,000 annually. You'll have modern diagnostic equipment, opportunities to sharpen your skills, and a team that values technicians who know how to get the job done right.

Key Responsibilities

A-Level Automotive Technicians

• Diagnose and repair complex automotive problems, including check engine lights, engine performance issues, and those mysterious problems that only seem to happen when the customer is driving.
• Put your diagnostic skills to work using Autel, Snap-on, and Launch scan tools. We prefer accurate testing over throwing parts at a problem and hoping for the best.
• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and European vehicles with precision and efficiency.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and clearly communicate repair findings to Service Advisors.
• Deliver quality repairs while keeping productivity moving and comebacks to a minimum.

B+ Automotive Technicians

• Diagnose and repair vehicles across domestic, Asian, and European makes and models within your experience and skill set.
• Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch diagnostic tools to identify vehicle concerns and determine the right repair approach.
• Complete accurate, efficient repairs without cutting corners.
• Perform digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and communicate findings with the team.
• Take advantage of training opportunities to build advanced diagnostic skills and work toward A-Level capabilities.

Qualifications

We're looking for technicians who know their stuff, take pride in their work, and understand that sometimes the best tool in the box is a little patience and a good wiring diagram.

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience required.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on domestic, Asian, and European makes and models.
• Michigan State Mechanics Certificate(s) required.
• Comfortable using modern diagnostic equipment and automotive shop technology.
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently, communicate with the team, and deliver quality repairs in a busy shop environment.

You don't need to know everything about every vehicle. But you should know how to figure things out without guessing.
