Automotive Technician A or B+ Level - $100k+ Annually - Monday-Friday
Location: Akron, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28-$40/hr Depending on Experience
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Earning Potential: $100K+ with profit sharing
Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level or Strong B+ Automotive Technician for a well-established independent repair shop in Akron, PA This is a full-time, Monday-Friday opportunity for a technician who is strong in diagnostics, electrical work, and advanced repair, and who wants to keep learning through ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including electrical and drivability concerns
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and testing equipment
- Complete maintenance and repair work on domestic, Asian, and select European vehicles
- Handle repairs involving brakes, suspension, steering, engine performance, and other mechanical systems
- Work on some fleet vehicles including Transit vans, Isuzu NPRs, Sprinters, and similar units
- Communicate clearly with the service team regarding findings, recommendations, and repair priorities
- Maintain clean, accurate, and professional work habits in a busy shop environment
- Participate in ongoing technical training to continue building diagnostic and repair skills
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- A Level Technician preferred; strong B+ Technicians with solid diagnostic ability will also be considered
- Strong electrical and diagnostic troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in a dealership or independent repair shop environment
- Ability to produce 40+ billed hours per week
- PA State Safety and Emissions license preferred; required after hire
- Valid driver's license required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn, train, and grow with the team
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $30-$40/hr for A Level Technicians - depending on experience / skills
- Strong B+ Technicians: $28-$35/hr depending on experience
