Automotive Technician | $25-45 per hour Plus Bonus | No Weekends

Location: Columbus, OH

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay Type: Base pay plus production bonus

Earning Potential: $25-45 per hour plus bonus depending on experience

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Columbus, OH who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and thorough inspections. This position offers $1,000-$1,800 per week plus bonus with a Monday-Friday schedule and no nights or weekends. The shop prioritizes doing the job right, solving complex problems methodically, and maintaining a strong team culture over simply chasing hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose drivability, electrical, engine, check engine light, and performance concerns
• Approach complex diagnostic work methodically rather than guessing or replacing parts without verification
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams to identify electrical faults
• Perform quality repairs and thorough inspections with close attention to detail
• Verify the root cause of vehicle concerns and confirm repairs are completed correctly
• Maintain high workmanship standards without taking shortcuts to increase production
• Take ownership of your work, learn from mistakes, and contribute positively to the team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive repair experience
• Strong automotive diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience diagnosing drivability and complex vehicle concerns
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and engine systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Experience diagnosing check engine light and vehicle performance concerns
• ASE Certification is a plus
