A+ Level Automotive Diagnostic Technician $100k+ Annually
Location: Roseville, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, Saturday 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40-$50/hr flat rate
Earning Potential: $100,000-$130,000+ annually
Work Week Options: 5-day schedule available
Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a busy, well-equipped shop in Roseville, MI This is an excellent opportunity for an A+ Level tech who enjoys diagnostics, complex repair work, and staying productive in a high-car-count environment. With strong flat-rate pay, optional schedule flexibility, paid training, and the opportunity to earn $100K-$130K+ annually, this role is built for a technician who wants to be challenged and well-compensated.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
- Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, check engine light, steering, suspension, and engine performance concerns
- Complete complex repairs accurately and efficiently using modern scan tools and shop management software
- Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs, maintenance, and safety concerns
- Handle brake, steering, suspension, engine, and general repair work with a high level of quality
- Work closely with the team to keep workflow moving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Document findings clearly and maintain accurate repair information
- Keep a clean, organized, and professional work area
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- A-Level technician skill set with the ability to solve complex vehicle issues
- Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment in a professional shop setting
- ASE certifications preferred
- Michigan state certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and solid communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support and share knowledge with others
- Sprinter, ProMaster, and Transit vehicle knowledge
Compensation & Benefits
- HOURLY pay of $40-$50 per hour, depending on experience
- Production Bonuses offered as well
