Automotive Technician A Level $45-$54/Flag Hour | 40-Hour Guarantee

Location: Sarasota, Florida
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $45.00-$54.00 per flagged hour (includes production incentive)
Pay Type: Flat Rate with Guaranteed Weekly Minimum
Pay Schedule: Weekly guarantee based on 40 hours
Typical Flagged Hours: 40-50+ per week

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join a well-established independent repair shop in Sarasota, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled diagnostic technician who enjoys solving complex vehicle issues while working in a family-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics, including electrical and drivability concerns.
• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and occasional European vehicles.
• Complete repairs from initial diagnosis through final quality inspection.
• Use diagnostic equipment, including Autel and Snap-on scan tools, to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship while minimizing comebacks.
• Document repair findings and communicate effectively with the service team.
• Contribute to an efficient workflow while meeting production expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong independent diagnostic and repair experience.
• Experience performing advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• Proficiency using automotive diagnostic equipment, including Autel and Snap-on scan tools.
• Ability to consistently produce quality work in a fast-paced repair environment.
• Long-term career mindset with a desire to continue growing professionally.

Compensation & Benefits

Flat-Rate Pay Structure

• Guaranteed minimum of $45.00/hour for 40 hours each week
• Starting flat-rate pay: $50.00 per flagged hour
• Production pay increases:
  • 40.1 flagged hours: $52.00/hour
  • 45.1 flagged hours: $53.00/hour
  • 60.1+ flagged hours: $54.00/hour
• 90-day introductory period
• Current technicians typically produce 40-50+ flagged hours per week
