You will collaborate closely with software developers, system engineers, and validation teams to ensure the inverter’s control functions—such as torque control, speed regulation, protection, and diagnostics—meet design and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze

    system and software requirements

on Codebeamer and related specifications to derive inverter test scenarios.

  • Design and maintain

    functional and non-functional test cases

for inverter features using black-box and requirements-based testing techniques.

  • Set up and maintain

    test environments

, including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and bench setups for inverter validation.

  • Execute test cases and verify the inverter’s control performance, protection mechanisms, and fault responses.

  • Capture and analyze logs (CAN, INCA) and system traces to identify root causes of issues.

  • Raise, track, and verify defect tickets in

    JIRA

  • Prepare detailed

test reports and daily test status updates

    for project managers.

  • Support

    compatibility and integration testing

between the inverter and other ECUs (VCU, BMS, OBC, DCDC).

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of

    test processes, automation frameworks

    , and

    ASPICE-compliant work products

    .

powertrain, inverter, or motor control ECU validation

    .

  • Strong understanding of

    motor control principles

    ,

    PWM control

    ,

    torque/speed control algorithms

    , and

    protection logic

    .

  • Hands-on experience with

CANoe, Vector tools, or Peak CAN

    , and knowledge of

    UDS diagnostics, CAN, or LIN

    communication.

    is a plus)

  • Familiarity with

    ASPICE

    ,

    ISO 14229, ISO 26262

    , and

    Agile/Scrum

    development frameworks.

  • Good knowledge of

    hardware schematics

, power electronics basics, and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, current probes, etc.).

  • ISTQB certification is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
