Your next opportunity awaits! Kia Santa Monica is seeking a motivated Express Lube Technician to join our team. We welcome experienced dealership technicians, Automotive/UTI students, and candidates with retail automotive experience from places like Jiffy Lube, AutoZone, Pep Boys, Valvoline, or independent shops. Dealership experience is preferred but not required — we’re looking for reliable, driven individuals ready to grow their automotive career.

Responsibilities

The Express Service Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our service department.

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations and filter replacements.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
• Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of experience as an Automotive Express/Lube Technician; dealership experience is a plus but not required.
• Automotive/UTI students or candidates with hands-on experience from quick lube, retail automotive, or independent repair shops are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Manufacturer certification is desired, and a degree or certificate from a trade school is preferred.

Compensation:

• The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00.
