AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE MANAGER – HIGH-VOLUME HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP

Kansas City Hyundai is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Automotive Service Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.

We operate one of the busiest Hyundai service departments in the Kansas City metro area, and we're looking for a proven leader who can build a winning culture, develop exceptional employees, exceed customer expectations, and consistently set new performance records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of service advisors, technicians, and support personnel.
• Build a positive, competitive, and accountable workplace culture.
• Drive service department revenue, profitability, technician productivity, and overall efficiency.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold employees accountable for results.
• Improve customer retention through exceptional service, communication, and follow-through.
• Ensure customers feel welcomed, respected, and informed throughout the service process.
• Maintain a strong focus on Hyundai Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly departmental performance and financial results.
• Improve workflow, shop efficiency, repair order turnaround times, and technician productivity.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain top-performing service professionals.
• Identify and develop future leaders within the department.
• Work closely with dealership leadership to achieve and exceed company objectives.
• Create a culture where employees take pride in their performance and consistently strive to break records.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of Automotive Service Management experience preferred.
• Previous Hyundai or Kia dealership experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a high-volume automotive service department.
• Demonstrated success in improving service revenue, profitability, CSI, and employee performance.
• Strong understanding of fixed operations, warranty administration, technician efficiency, and dealership financial statements.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a results-driven mindset.
