Automotive Service Advisor

Ford of South Austin is part of the rapidly growing Group 1 Automotive organization, a leader in automotive retail sales and service. We are looking for customer-focused, motivated, and professional Automotive Service Advisors to join our high-performing Ford service team. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and service department. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience, building lasting relationships, and helping customers maintain their vehicles with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, ensuring an outstanding service experience from start to finish.

  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle service needs.

  • Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle inspections.

  • Communicate repair recommendations, costs, and timelines clearly and effectively.

  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery.

  • Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.

  • Review completed work with customers and explain services performed.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.

  • Consistently meet or exceed customer satisfaction and sales performance goals.

  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required.

  • Previous dealership experience is strongly preferred; Ford experience is a plus.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong sales aptitude with the ability to recommend needed maintenance and repairs.

  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer and technology skills.

  • Goal-oriented with a desire to achieve performance objectives.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
