More ways to build a career that moves you forward. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department at Group 1 Ford of Rockwall. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by accurately identifying vehicle service needs, coordinating repairs with technicians, and ensuring timely and transparent communication throughout the service process. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with automotive knowledge to build trust and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests
  • Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer guidelines
  • Prepare accurate repair orders, estimates, and timelines for service completion
  • Communicate clearly with technicians regarding diagnostics and repairs
  • Keep customers informed on the status of their vehicle throughout the service process
  • Review completed work with customers, explaining services performed and associated costs
  • Upsell additional services, maintenance, or repairs when appropriate
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with dealership standards
  • Coordinate vehicle pick-up and delivery while ensuring a seamless handoff
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive or technical training preferred
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, automotive service consultant, or in a customer-facing role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and service management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and build lasting relationships
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
