Automotive Service Advisor

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service requests.
• Prepare repair orders and communicate maintenance and repair recommendations.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely completion of repairs.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including status updates and estimated completion times.
• Review completed repairs with customers and explain invoices, recommended maintenance, and future service needs.
• Schedule service appointments and maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while helping maintain an efficient service department.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in an automotive customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn shop management software.
• Professional attitude with a team-oriented approach.
