Group 1 Automotive is actively hiring Automotive Sales Professionals across our Kansas City-area dealerships, including BMW of Shawnee Mission, MINI of Shawnee Mission, and Shawnee Mission Kia.

We're seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and are excited by the opportunity to turn hard work into meaningful earnings and career growth.

As an Automotive Sales Professional, you'll help customers navigate every step of the vehicle-buying process, from initial conversations and test drives to vehicle selection, financing discussions, and delivery. You'll build lasting relationships while providing a transparent, consultative, and exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consultative buying experience by helping customers find the right vehicle to fit their needs and lifestyle.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, lead follow-up, and customer referrals.
  • Create outstanding customer experiences that drive high CSI scores and long-term customer loyalty.
  • Leverage effective follow-up practices to generate repeat business and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Stay current on vehicle features, inventory availability, manufacturer incentives, and emerging market trends.
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals while contributing to a high-performing dealership culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role; automotive experience is a plus.
  • Competitive and goal-oriented with a desire to maximize earning potential.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Positive, energetic, and customer-centric approach.
  • Professional presence with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must meet pre-employment screening requirements, including background, MVR, and drug testing.
