Pay: $27.93-31.03/hr

Our VANCOUVER location is looking for Part Helpers

When cars are manufactured, they make an additional stop to us for accessories.

You would be reviewing work orders and placing car parts into the vehicles for our accessory installers to install.

of Position:

The purpose of this job is to place parts in vehicles prior to install.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Tasks:

  1. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as
  2. Communicate with lead when additional parts are needed
  3. Deleting accessories on work orders due to lack of parts (as needed)
  4. Drive fork lift to stock parts
  5. Follow all safety guidelines and attend safety meetings
  6. Keep Leads, Managers and others informed of significant issues
  7. Log processed work into computer program or tracking system as required
  8. Meet or exceed established production and quality standards
  9. Notify lead if the customer removed accessories for the parts are
  10. Open stock parts as needed
  11. Order and replace defective parts for installers
  12. Performs job in a safe manner
  13. Place correct accessories into the trunk/hatch of each vehicle (Read work order to verify what accessories are needed)
  14. Read and understand VIN numbers, repair orders, purchase orders, purge sheets, and other documents to complete work
  15. Recognize standard accessories for each model and add if work order is incorrect based on Customer specifications
  16. Utilize radio to communicate with Leads and management personnel in a professional manner
  17. Verify that the correct work orders have been placed in vehicles (Check VIN on work order against VIN plate located on the vehicles dash)
  18. Visually verifies that vehicle is damage free
  19. Work as part of a team
  20. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  21. Daily clean up
  22. Ensure work area is kept in a clean and in an orderly fashion
  23. Notify supervisor of any workplace hazards or unsafe conditions
  24. Participate in facility safety efforts by attending monthly safety meetings, report accidents and injuries on appropriate forms, and communicates the procedure to all appropriate customers/vendors and AWC personnel
  25. Understand policies, including but not limited to company safety policies
  26. Upkeep and maintenance of work area
  27. Work with limited supervision
  28. Other duties assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Ability to adhere to strict quality and production standards without variance Ability to communicate diplomatically

Ability to function effectively under pressure

Ability to interact with others effectively; work as a team; good interpersonal skills Ability to judge distances

Ability to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job duties

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds

Ability to obtain Forklift Operator's Certification Ability to operate hand truck

Ability to pass driver's safety test at 80% or better Ability to read and understand SDS

Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to step safely up and down from Forklift

Able to drive both standard and automatic automobiles

Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements:

12 th grade reading and writing skills Computer skills

Follow directions, both written and verbal

Good visual and auditory ability

Positively represent AWC

Strong attention to detail

Understand Company and Customer requirements

Valid drivers license
