More ways to build a career that moves you forward. Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a skilled and motivated Main Line Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and repair abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Main Line Technician, you will perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with Kia and dealership standards

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns.
  • Perform Kia warranty, maintenance, and customer-pay repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional service opportunities.
  • Utilize Kia diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle concerns.
  • Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency goals established by dealership management.
  • Follow all manufacturer, dealership, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in manufacturer training and continuous professional development programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience preferred.
  • Kia experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and repair tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
  • Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
