TCR has a brand-new position available in the Cairns Airport: Auto Mechanic Technician Apprentice!

This is a unique opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Automotive Mechanic Apprentice to work for the biggest Ground Support Equipment company in Australia, learn from the best in the business, and gain experience in the exciting Aviation Industry.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity in a small team in the newly established TCR workshop in Cairns.

As a Technician Apprentice at TCR, you will:

• Have full support throughout the 4 years of the job practical training. We pay you to learn.
• Have the opportunity to travel across sites for specific equipment training needs.
• Bring your passion and commitment to learning and perfecting your craft.

• Have your TAFE course fully covered - Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Get paid while studying.
• Have your uniform provided and laundered.

To be successful, you will:

• Have a driven and proactive mindset.
• Be naturally curious towards learning, and have a can-do attitude.

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Have the willingness to undertake ASIC background checks for airport security access – that includes a 10-year background check.
• Have the willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical check that includes a drug & alcohol test.
