AUTO MECHANIC / AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN — ELKHART, IN

The shop in Elkhart recently had a customer walk in carrying a loose car part like it was a newborn baby. That pretty much sums up the energy here — people show up with stories, theories, and sometimes… props.

Elkhart brings a unique mix of vehicles: RVs the size of small nations, work trucks that look like they’ve been through three lifetimes of hauling, and daily drivers that have survived more Indiana winters than their owners care to admit. You’ll get customers who reenact the noise with sound effects, folks who swear their car “only acts up when I’m near Goshen,” and the northern‑Indiana classic:

This shop is looking for a technician who can handle the full spectrum — the mystery clunks, the “my brother‑in‑law tried fixing it,” the dashboards that light up like a county fair ride, and the engines that sound like they’re negotiating their retirement package. What You’ll Be Doing

• Real diagnostics — not “swap parts until something gives up”
• Repairs on domestic & import vehicles
• Maintenance, brakes, suspension, electrical, and engine work
• Keeping customers safe and their vehicles road‑worthy
• Staying busy — this shop does not believe in slow days

What You Bring

• Experience as an Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, or ASE Tech
• Ability to diagnose and repair modern vehicles accurately
• Pride in doing the job right the first time
• A team‑focused mindset
• Certifications are great, but not required
