Automotive Line Technician Ford Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with Ford and dealership standards
- Perform engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, suspension, and brake repairs
- Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and completed work
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and additional needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all dealership procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and safety protocols
Automotive Line Technician Ford Compensation & Benefits
This Mid‑Level Line Technician position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following elements:
- Hourly

pay, which varies based on experience, certifications, and performance
- Production‑based incentive compensation, which may be tied to individual and/or team productivity benchmarks
- Retention‑based incentive compensation, which may be earned based on hours produced
Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as hours worked, productivity, performance metrics, and overall business conditions. Incentive and bonus compensation are not guaranteed and may be zero if applicable performance standards are not met.

- Previous dealership or professional automotive technician experience required
- Ford experience and certifications preferred
- ASE certifications strongly encouraged
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

The Gee Automotive Companies began in 1983 when George Gee opened a Pontiac dealership in Spokane, Washington, which quickly became the largest in the state. In 1991, the company added GMC to its offerings, and in 2000, it relocated to new facilities in Liberty Lake, WA.

In 2003, Ryan Gee became President and CEO, building on his parents' legacy by expanding the company to include Buick, Porsche of Spokane, Kia in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, and Cadillac in Coeur d'Alene. Ryan focused on cultivating talent within the organization, bringing on skilled managers such as Jeff Jackson, who became president in 2010 while Ryan remained as CEO and Dealer Principal.
