Automotive General Service Technician – $17–$22/hr – No Weekends

Location: Decatur, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay: $17 – $22 per hour (based on experience)
Pay Schedule: Biweekly

Promotive is hiring a General Service Technician for a well-established, high-volume automotive shop in Decatur, GA This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with a solid foundation in maintenance and light repair who’s ready to continue growing in a professional, team-oriented environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced, master-certified technicians while servicing primarily Toyota and Lexus vehicles using OEM parts and factory-level tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs (brakes, tires, suspension, etc.)
• Replace basic components such as filters, batteries, wiper blades, and bulbs
• Assist senior technicians with more advanced repairs and diagnostics
• Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVI) using shop software
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow proper repair procedures and communicate effectively with team members

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an automotive service or repair environment required
• Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and maintenance procedures
• Ability to perform services independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to continue learning and advancing your skillset
• Comfortable using technology and digital inspection tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
